This system may be used by any licensed amateur radio operator.
Not a Ham? You can still listen to the system with most any scanner radio.
You will need to program a channel in your scanner to 147.000.
You must use a 103.5 Tone for system access. It will not work with out it.
For the best results when using this system also set your radio for tone squelch.
This will stop other signals and noise from opening your radios squelch.
You will hear less noise and ID's from the repeater.
This system is a Kenwood TKR-750 K2 repeater, 50 watts,
Arcom RC210 Controller, Telwave 6 cavity duplexer,
1/2" Heliax feed line, and a Andrew DB224E 6db gain omni antenna.
ERP 106 watts. This system is built for heavy use and has full backup power.
It is hand held friendly in Wallowa, Enterprise, Joseph, Wallowa Lake area,
Aneroid Lake, McCully Basin and other parts of the Eagle Cap Wilderness.
You are welcome to use the system as much as you like.
It is here to support emergencies, special events, back country travelers, locals,
road travelers, vistiors, WAC, SAR, ECX, weather spotters, and any other Ham Radio use.
This system also has a secondary UHF repeater and VHF remote base located at
Salt Creek Summit Snow Park that is linked on demand from either system by users.
The Salt Creek Summit system is used to support:
Emergencies, special events, WAC, SAR, ECX, & back country travelers.
Salt Creek Summit system frequency and details available on request.
The Joseph Repeater system will also transmit weather warnings
for the local area when issued by the NWS.
