.a warm front will spread moisture east of the cascades today. This system will bring widespread snow today into the weekend. Later tonight and early friday...warmer air aloft will override the cold air at the surface...resulting in periods of sleet and freezing rain...mainly to central oregon and the john day basin and highlands. Significant snow can be expected in some areas of eastern washington and eastern oregon.
