Connected to the CARE HUB (number 119705)
147.500 Mhz Simplex (210.7 PL Tone)
This Echolink node radio is a Icom IC-2200H set to 65 watts output power. It is preferred you use a 210.7 PL Tone, But it will also work with no PL Tone. The node may be used by any licensed Technician class or above amateur radio operator. The node is auto connected to the CARE HUB daily. This links the node into repeaters and links all over the USA and worldwide. This is a simplex system so other local stations may not hear you as it will not repeat your transmissions locally.
Please pause a few seconds after the other station is done talking to allow anyone to break in should they need to and to allow the system to work properly.
You can also use your touch tone pad to get node information, the current weather and forecast or to connect and disconnect to other nodes.
If you are connecting to other nodes first disconnect the node from the CARE HUB by Pressing #.
Then connect to the node you want by entering the number (or node shortcut) you wish to connect to.
When done with your contact Press # to disconnect the node.
Press A21 to reconect to the CARE HUB.
This radio system covers most of the Wallowa Valley. It is Handheld friendly even at low power settings in
Enterprise, Joseph,Wallowa Lake State Park and into parts of the Eagle Cap Wilderness.
This system will also transmit weather warnings for the local area and NASA events.
